![]() Extracts from Bury Rural Sector Neighbourhood Watch Newsletter |
All change!
Hi everyone I thought I would start this missive with some exciting news about
the format newsletters will take from the next issue. Currently the entire St
Edmundsbury Rural Area receives one newsletter covering the whole area. Now some
of our readers may wish to hear all the news, but we feel that if you live in
the country North and West of Bury St Edmunds you probably don’t really find
items of news concerning the South of the area of such pertinent interest.
With this in mind from next month you will be able to subscribe to either Rural
North or Rural South Newsletters. I have given details below just to remind you
of the procedure involved. On October 31st in five weeks time the newsletter
shown currently as Bury Rural Sector will cease to be published. It is very
important then that you on receipt of this Newsletter log in and subscribe to
the Newsletter of your choice. You can of course subscribe to both Newsletters
if you wish. Di is on leave at the moment, but she will be back suitably
suntanned next month!

Schools are back!
As there will be more traffic on the road due to the return of the school term,
and particularly with the nights drawing in can I remind motorists to take care
around school areas. Twenty really is plenty when the children are dashing to
and from school. Please also be mindful of where you park your car when dropping
off and collecting from near the school. Believe us the last thing Police
officers or their colleagues in the other emergency services want to do is
attend an incident involving and injured child.

AirTracker Security Markings
A simple but effective approach to vehicle security
Although Suffolk Constabulary does not endorse specific security products, in
the current climate, vehicle crime is increasing and the need for security has
never been higher.
AirTracker a Midlands based company specialising in security decal graphics for
vehicles now provides a product. Vehicles fitted with their rooftop product are
further safeguarded in addition to existing security devices that may be used.
It is a fact that although locks, wheel clamps and other devices offer
resistance to a would be thief, these vehicles still go missing. Their products
are specifically aimed at owners of caravans, motor homes, horseboxes, vans and
trucks
It is a simple system and means that from CCTV and Police helicopters, stolen
vehicles can be located quickly and returned to the rightful owner. Airtracker
claim that the product is made from a durable, difficult to remove, highly
reflective and visible material.
If you would like further information their website is www.airtracker.co.uk ,
